Originally, I had announced that Necktar VII should be the last Necktar, as much by lack of time, than by need to achieve all, before the collapse of its consistency. But face to enthusiastic requests to extend the experience, and face to the outcome of Necktar VII.

I think it's a bit selfish to do not continue.

Necktar 2017. Volume I.

The set of themes is Real / Perception / Realities : Illusion.

One track, unlimited lengh, in Mp3 128 kbps or more.
(If necessary use a link "yousendit" or "megaupload" or "rapidshare"...).
Indicate whether you want a free license CC-NC-SA or CC-NC-ND or C Reaction.

The tracks, collected between 32 December 2007 and 32 December 2008, will form the first volume of Necktar 2017.

The compilation will be distributed freely on www.dogmazic.net and on a website developed from those of Necktar VII, at the end of January 2009.

- Creation of a cover for Necktar 2017.

I wish that the covers of individual volumes will be created by the participants.
If there is a volunteer to create a cover about the theme Real / Perception / Realities: Illusion, please send me a jpg to colibri.necrophile[at]gmail.com
The final format will be 120 mm x 120 mm with the inscription : Necktar 2017. Volume I.

- Some outcome of Necktar VII :

Some figures.
On Archive.org, over 2000 downloads of the compilation.
On Dogmazic, 110000 streaming, 25000 songs downloaded.
On the website Necktar VII, more than 1800 downloads of the zipped compilation, + uncounted downloads tracks by tracks.

Some problems.
Too disrupted by local politics, I had neither the time nor the desire to develop a presentation about the set of themes : Death / Transformation / Birth : Mutation.
Few website updates, few promotion returns from media, little reviews.
I had some unresolved problems with the recognition of some files on archive.org.
Because of a license problem, archive and dogmazic could not host the tracks of Attrition and Jarboe,
however, they are present on the site Necktar VII.

A lot of happiness.
Returns enthusiastic, participants who discovered the music of other participants, and sometime have collaborated.
The intensity and relevance of the compilation, the tracks which support with each other, the guidelines recurring.
The consistency of the whole despite the diversity. The pleasure of listening to a musical panorama "hors norme".

- Miscellaneous notes :

For continue, I would like to be able developed a website "Wiki", for give a maximum of freedom to the creation, among other things so that the creation can continue without me, but this year it's more simple to use an email address.

The annualization of the volumes can resume the original concept of a periodic musical report.
The interest is to share his experiments, to compare points of view, to study the evolution of exploration over time, and so on.
